Textinhalte, die Informationen vermitteln, sollen vom Screenreader ausgegeben werden können.

Warum wird das geprüft?

Textinhalte, die Informationen vermitteln, sollen auch bei Nutzung assistiver Technologien verfügbar sein. Sie dürfen nicht auf eine Weise implementiert werden, dass sie für den Screenreader-Nutzer unzugänglich sind.

Wie wird geprüft?

1. Anwendbarkeit des Prüfschritts

Der Prüfschritt ist anwendbar, wenn in der App Textinhalte vorhanden sind.

2. Prüfung

App mit zu prüfender Ansicht öffnen.
Screenreader starten und mittels Wischgesten durch alle Inhalte navigieren.
Prüfen, ob der Screenreader alle Textinhalte ausgibt.

3. Bewertung

Nicht voll erfüllt

Nicht alle Textinhalte, die Informationen vermitteln, werden vom Screenreader ausgegeben.

Where ICT is non-web software that provides a user interface and that supports access to assistive technologies for screen reading, it shall satisfy the WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships.
NOTE: In software, programmatic determinability is best achieved through the use of accessibility services provided by platform software to enable interoperability between software and assistive technologies and accessibility features of software. (see clause 11.5 Interoperability with assistive technology).
